Traditional method

EXPOSURE OF THE ALVEOLAR BONE

After preparation for the surgery, the provision of the required sanitary conditions and local anaesthesia which will render the manipulation painless, the gum is incised over the toothless section of the jaw, at the place of the future implant, exposing the bone below.

FORMING THE BONE BED

The formation of a bone bed corresponds to the length and diamater of the artificial tooth root is a multi-step process. Caution is required not to harm the surrounding blood vessel and nerve structures and to avoid needless strain due to the formation of the bed as drastic manipulation may damage the adjacent hard tissue, which may in turn lead to the loss of the implant. To allow for maximum safety and predictability, we conduct digital X-ray scanning to check the various steps of the surgical procedures required and use the implanting devices of one of the most prestigous manufacturers, the German KaVo company.

SEATING THE IMPLANT

The artificial tooth root is screwed into the finalized implant bed with the opening, which is to hold the head part supporting the restoration later, being capped with a sealing screw until the healing period is over. This is followed by the repositioning and stitching of the gum tissue.
